Payton loves the water, come to think of it every kid loves it. It has been hot lately (except it is now starting to cool off, finally!) & Payton was super tired & wouldn't leave me alone to make dinner. When Donald came home I had him take her out on the balcony for some water fun.
It wasn't long before she was sitting in the water with her diaper on.
As long as she was leaving me alone to make dinner I didn't mind.
It cooled off pretty quickly that night so she didn't spend more than 15 minutes out there.
With Payton it doesn't matter how long she is doing something that she loves because as soon as it's time to stop she's not happy.
She cried all the way to the bathroom. Did you ever see a kid so unhappy about taking a bath?
She escaped from her dad & was back at the door crying again.
And you'd think that she'd be over it after her bath. NOPE!!!
She ended up spending more time crying over not being able to be in the water than she actually spent in the water. The whole reason that she went in the water was because she was so tired & she just confirmed how tired she really was.
How to make a happy child sad... just take away water!

This is how you wear a tie Daddy
Payton is starting to get more excited about the fact that Donald returns home. Let me explain, most of the time she was so focused on what she was doing that she will look up, maybe acknowledge that he's home & then go back to what she's doing. Donald will go up to her & get a hug anyway but she didn't go up & offer one. We have turned a corner & she goes up to him & babbles, telling on me I'm sure.
She noticed his tie the other day when he came home from work & started pulling on it so Donald took it off & gave it to her. Payton then showed him how to properly wear a tie.
Okay Daddy now your turn to try.
Apparently he didn't get it right because she had to show him again.
She is so funny! I love the things that she comes up with. Like I've said in the past I can't wait till there are words to go along with the quirky things she does.

Lost & FOUND!!!!
Saturday, September 15, 2007
So a long time ago I lost my camera. It was very frustrating because I knew exactly when I lost it. There was a matter of 2 hours where I realized that I should have put it away so that Payton couldn't get to it. I went to go look for it but I was on my way out so I thought that I would just look for it later once she was in bed.
In the last 2 1/2 months I have causally looked for it countless times & totally torn the apartment apart specifically looking for it 3 times. The only solution was that it was in a spot that I hadn't looked yet (obvious I know) or someone walked into my apartment & took it WHILE I WAS HOME. I was so convinced that I had looked everywhere that I was blocking the last part out of my head.
Donald & I decided that either the camera was long gone or we'd find it as soon as we bought another one but either way we needed a camera so we could stop borrowing my parent's camera. So we bought a nice Cannon to replace the Cannon we lost but this time we bought one that wasn't so compact so that it wouldn't be so easy to misplace, of coarse there were other nice features as well. We bought it 2 weeks ago yesterday right before Labor day.
So last night after watching a movie I was sitting on the recliner & Donald came over & said... "What's this?" I couldn't believe it. "I was looking for your back pocket & I found your camera". So let me explain where it was. Below is the chair that I have previously searched & moved during each 'search', I have also sat in it every day!
Below Donald is pushing down as hard as he can. The camera chord was not sticking out like that while it was missing.
Below Donald is standing on it. So when I was looking for it I would have had to dig back there while I was sitting or standing on the recliner.
At least it wasn't by itself. There were these other things back in there too. If I had found all of Payton's toys back there then I would have felt justified in blameing her, but since that ribbon was back there to (which Payton could have been playing with but I can't say for sure) then it is a mystery. All that matters is that it is back. Our camera has been 'returned' to us.

I love to laugh....
Friday, September 14, 2007
Okay so Donald does not get why I do this, but I think it is hilarious. I go onto youtube & search under Laughing Baby & I'll watch video clips & just laugh. Here are some good ones that I'd like to share. I hope that you enjoy them. Some are long & you don't have to watch the whole thing to get the gist.
And now for my all-time-favorites!!!!
I love the silent part of the laugh..
This one is my favorite clips. I love that he falls over twice. Even now as I was laughing at it Donald said 'haven't you seen this one already.'

BYU vs the Refs... oh yeah & ULCA
Last Saturday we went to the BYU vs. UCLA football game at the Rose Bowl. I just want to say first of all that I had such a good time. We sat with the BYU section & that is the way to watch football. We had some characters behind us that were so entertaining.
Here are Kristin & Annie before the long walk to the stadium.
There were SEVERAL calls in the game in the 1st half that were questionable & it was so frustrating not knowing whether the calls were accurate or not. The guys in back of us would call there friends who were at home watching & that's when it would get really disappointing because we'd find out that the call was totally off & in UCLA's favor every time.
Okay so that's my little rant. The picture below is of the team doing the Haka it's a Polynesian war dance. It is done before every game. I was talking to my sister who went to BYU & the stadium gets quite for it so it is probably more impressive at a home game.
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about here is a video I found on youtube. It is of the All Blacks rugby team from New Zealand. Now if that's not intimidation I don't know what is! Pst... Don't worry the movie clip is rated E for everyone (Donald added that part).
The 2nd half was awesome. The team came out & did so good.
We were out of our seats a majority of the last half & I left with a sore throat (which is probably what lead to the cold I have now).
We had such great seats.
Then in the last part of the 4th quarter....
It all went down hill. There were some very unhappy fans!
Tyler you are so funny!!! It was a great game & the best part is that UCLA left thinking 'where did that come from.' BYU was more of a challenge that they expected.

Bye Uncle Dano....Happy B-Day Tyler
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
On Sunday we celebrated Uncle Tyler's birthday (that was really the day before but we went to a certain frustrating game at the Rose Bowl, pictures to come later). Look how big Casey is getting!
My brother Daniel was here visiting for the end of the summer while he was on break from BYUI. Here's everyone.
Ryan loves his Uncle Dano!
While everyone was in town we had both push/ride on toys at my mom's so that there wouldn't be any fighting. My mom had all 3 kids while we were all at the game so anything to make the afternoon go smoother...
Ryan peaking thru the doors.
Even though we had both push toys there, Ryan was caught several times with both toys. As you can see Payton could care less. It's those times that she is interested that we were glad we had both.
This is the best picture of them that we've gotten recently. I can't believe they are both smiling. So CUTE!!!

We had cake & ice cream. And I know it's Tyler's birthday but Ryan wanted to have a turn so here he is.
