Master of her domain...

One morning Payton asked if she could color with a pencil so I got her a sheet of paper... not out of the ordinary. Then she asked for some sticky tape. This is where I got interested. I asked her what for & she said that she had a sign for her door. I asked her what it said... ready for this... it says "this room is for teddy bears & babies & Paytons only". Yes folks, 3 years old & we have our first Keep Out sign.

Before we go to bed we always check on Payton. Usually we find her in her bed but this particular week she was all over the place.
The next night I went in to find her bed like this & no Payton... anywhere. I looked quietly at first & then turned her room light on. Still no Payton. I checked the bathrooms & our bedroom. Donald by that time was helping in the search. So when she didn't turn up anywhere I went back to her room for one last look. I don't know why but I decided to look in the closet. I tried to open the door but couldn't. Yes she was in there sleeping in the narrow space between the door & her bookself. It took a little bit of time getting the door open because she was leaning against it but we were finally able to get her out after a few minutes. I couldn't believe that she could sleep there & that she fit. She didn't even wake up when we moved her into bed.

Dr. Payton is now seeing patients!

Friday, December 4, 2009

Hello this is Dr. Payton... I will be right there.
This won't hurt a bit. I have some heart stickers for you.
See it doesn't hurt a bit.
At Payton's last Cardio appointment we were given the go ahead to take her off of Coumidin (& there was great rejoicing in the land!!!). She got a clean bill of health & it doing amazingly! So now we are only on Analipril (which she will always be on) & asprin. We went to the Dr. in August & we don't have to go back until March or April. We have been so pleased with the level of care & attention that she has received from Dr. Burke.

Signs your baby is growing up...

Payton has discovered that she likes showers.
It was so cute she was soooo proud of herself.
Yes she is growing up.
August 09
I am attempting to catch up on the last few months. I want my New Years resolution to keep up with blogging & not start out the year with trying to get caught up.
