Thanksgiving...

We were able to go to Nauvoo for Thanksgiving. We had such a good time!
Payton loved getting to know her cousins & playing with them. Grandpa & Grandma Church's house was so fun. Payton still talks about playing with their toys upstairs in the little house.
Payton loved being around kids every day. Below is her cousin Ryan.
As you can tell they became fast friends & Ryan was tolerant of her. I just love their expressions... it really says it all!
The kids had their own table to eat at. I'm really not sure exactly how much she ate while we were there, but I do know that meal times were fun from the laughing & giggling that could be heard from the little table next to ours.
Payton loves music & so do her cousins!
Since I'm hardly ever in the pictures & this one turned out pretty good & I figured I'd include it.
Payton also got to play a lot with her uncles. Here she is playing with Uncle Craig, they are building a castle that got knocked down several times. It was hard trying to convince Payton, the only child, that the way small kids play with buildings is to knock them down. Thanks to Craig she had help rebuilding.
We were able to take a family picture.
And by the time we took our family picture Payton was just being silly.
We also strung popcorn to decorate the tree.
Made gingerbread men.
And melted down hard candies to make ornaments.
We had such a good time & am glad we were able to make the trip! It was so much fun seeing everyone!
