Trip home from Nauvoo

After being in Nauvoo for 1 1/2 weeks we started our trip home with a stop along the river to throw rocks.
Payton talked about wanting to do it the whole time we were there. So we made a quick stop just after leaving.
We also collected some acorn tops while there.
Payton was such a good traveler! I don't know if it was all the fun she was having with her cousins combined with the cold she started off with (that she gave to Donald & I), but she slept basically the whole way to the airport. We had a 3 hour drive down to St. Louis & she slept for at least 2 of those hours.
On the plane she was very good too. She colored, played, watched movies & was just really good. My favorite was when her ears would pop. She'd say that air just went out of her ears with a surprised look on her face.
It was so much fun visiting family & getting away. It's always so hard coming back to real life!
