Cousins at the Arboretum

We went to the Arboretum with Melissa & my cute nephew Ryan. We had a great time except for the fact that the geese spoiled our Duck feeding. Neither Melissa nor I were going to stick around once the geese came over. There was another family with their kids across the lake & the geese were all around them.. they obviously haven't had bad experience with them yet. So we decided to go up to the waterfall. There was a peacock that Ryan spotted & came kinda close to him. He really loves birds so this was a fun trip for him.

I'm not sure if the kids liked the waterfall so much because they got to get out their strollers or not. For whatever the reason we spent a lot of time there. Adjacent to the waterfall is a Koi (sp?) pond & Payton saw them for the first time. I think it helped that there were a few lighter colored ones but it didn't hold either of the kid's attention because the waterfall was just right behind them.

We also went over to try another pond to feed to ducks but the geese were there too. Oh well next time they're up visiting we will try again.
